Eze Chika Nwokedi Marks First Ofala Festival In Grand Style

It was celebration galore for Eze Chika Nwokedi on Sunday 26th March, 2023, as dignitaries from within and outside Lagos converged to mark his first Ofala festival as the highly esteemed Ezendigbo of Ijegun and Ijedodo kingdoms in grand style. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the event was marked at the White House event field in Ijegun but it all started at the Palace of Eze Nwokedi at his palatial home, where he conferred chieftaincy titles on deserving Igbo personalities for their contributions to the society.
Those who attended the event included the members of the Supreme Council of the Ezendigbo in Lagos State led by Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze and Eze Vincent Iwobi including Eze Alex Sunday Nwoye, who is the Babaseru of Ejigbo land and many other Ezendigbo across the State.
Top Senior Army and Police officers including the rank and file were fully represented. Members of the Nwokedi cabinet and an organization founded by Eze Nwokedi, known as Igbo Buru Otu, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Igbo Speaking community in Lagos State led by their President, Chief Sunday Udeh, were also present to honour the super philanthropist, Eze Nwokedi.
It was also tribute galore from many who attended the event to honour Eze Nwokedi, also known as Okpoko 1 of Obodoukwu town in Imo State, for what he had done to humanity in the society.
Eze Nwokedi was coronated as the king of the two communities in 2022 and since then, he has raised the bar of Igbo traditional stool by touching the lives of the less privileged in the society.
He has demonstrated his love and passion by sharing different gift items such as rice, yams, wrappers etc. to over 100 widows and poor in various families in the society.
He has also began to train many people in acquiring skills in various areas such as soap making, tailoring and other skill works and have promised to sponsor and provide the necessary funds for them to start the businesses.
Eze Chika Nwokedi, who has been described as an aggressive giver, admitted that he is so passionate about giving and he does not know how to say no for people who need assistance.
He explained that what kept him going over the years were prayers, honesty and hard work, which made people to trust him and ready to do business with him. And from the profits he was making usually went back to the people in form of charity and gifts.
Eze Nwokedi said he will continue to make impact in people’s lives especially the needy, which he stated makes him feel happy and satisfied that he had made some people to smile by providing for them.
Eze Nwokedi stated that he had assisted many people without consideration about tribe, religion and strongly believe that human beings are the same while encouraging people who are in better positions to always remember the less privileged in the society.
The event witnessed the presence of Igbo culture and tradition including masquerades and various Igbo traditional dance groups displaying their skill to the excitement of the crowded field.
