It appears that peace may finally return to the Apex Igbo Organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, following the resolve by the Ezendigbo, Lagos State,  Eze Christian Uchechukwu Nwachukwu, to step in and bring peace between the two factions.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Eze Nwachukwu, a.k.a known as Igbo one,  disclosed this at his palace in Igbo Community Centre in Ago Okota, Lagos during interaction with the media.
He noted that as the highest authority and custodian of the Igbo culture and tradition in Lagos State,  it was necessary to step in and resolve the matter.
He disclosed that he would invite the two factions of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State led by Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene and factional president, Sunday Ossai, in order make peace between them so that Igbo will speak with one voice in the State.
Eze Nwachukwu explained that the general election has come and gone,  stressing that it was time for the Ndigbo to come together and resolve any differences so that they will be united in the State.
Eze Nwachukwu, who holds the title of Ochi aha Ndigbo, stated that he felt seriously concerned over the lingering crisis in Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State and people have been calling him to resolve the matter as the highest authority as Ezendigbo, Lagos State.
“I have taken up the challenge as the royal father of all the Igbo in Lagos State and will engage the parties involved and make peace so that Igbo will be united and speak with one voice” he assured.
Eze Nwachukwu recalled how he became Ezendigbo in Lagos State; he stated that it was the late Oba of Lagos, Oba Oyekan, that installed him while the late Osolo of Isolo, Oba R.A.Y Global gave him the first Chieftancy title and the Southeast Council of Traditional Rulers, led by their Chairman, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, in their general meeting in Enugu, crowned and gave him their general blessing while notifications were given to Obas and Council of Chiefs in Lagos State.
He stated that having built bridges and preached peace across the ethnic groups, he will not want factions in Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State and it was a responsibility that he will ensure that there is peace among Ndigbo in Lagos State.
