A 13-year old girl had a nasty experience in Lagos State after she caught her 44-year old biological father, Samuel Awonuga, while having sex with her 18-year old elder sister as she was beaten silly.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Sunshine Street, Pipeline Road, Aboru area of Lagos State, where they reside.
Police operatives from the Family Support Unit of the Ipaja Division have arrested the suspect, Awonuga for assault and defilement of his biological daughters respectively.
The man, Awonuga, had separated with the victims mother and both had already remarried separately with their spouses while the ex-wife took the victims to her new husband.
However, Awonuga was said to have alleged that his ex-wife’s new husband was sleeping with his daughters and demanded that they should release them to him, which she did sometime last year.
When the victims were then brought to him, he later started sleeping with the elderly daughter since 2021. The younger one caught them in the act and reported him to their Pastor but both the elder daughter and father denied.
However, when they got home, Awonuga then beat the younger daughter for reporting him to the Pastor and she fled from home. She was forced to report her predicament to her school management, where she narrated what happened and the management took up the matter by reporting it to the Domestic and Sexual Violence Department of the Lagos State Government.
The matter was reported at the Police at Ipaja Division; he was arrested and detained for interrogation. In the course of investigation, the elder daughter opened up and narrated how the father had been using her as a sex slave since last year.
The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered his remand in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice. The prosecutor was directed to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned pending when the DPP’s report will be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, the victims have been rescued and kept in protective custody, where they are undergoing rehabilitation over the trauma they had suffered in the hands of their father.
