Female Sales Manager, Accomplice Jailed For Stealing N1m

An Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, Nigeria has sentenced and convicted a Female Sales Manager, Tracy Benibile to two years and two months imprisonment for stealing the sum of N1 million belonging to her employer, Aromire Aromimure.
Also jailed for one year and eight months for the same offence was the convicted’s accomplice in crime, Abiola Bosun, an electrician for releasing his bank account to her to steal the money.
The duo were sentenced and jailed by Chief Magistrate, Mrs Gbajumo Ayoku after she find them guilty during the trial spanning about five years and the facts of the matter presented before the Court by the Police prosecuting Counsel, Inspector Hafsat Ajiboye.
Ayoku however directed that the sentencing would run concurrently.
Inspector Ajiboye had told the Court in the charge marked M/07/2021 that the journey to jail started for the convicts on 18 May, 2021 when the complainant, Aromimure noticed discrepancies in her sales books and suspected her sales manager and petitioned the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Area A Command, Lagos Island, Lagos for help.
Ajiboye said that during investigation, the Female Sales Manager, Benibile confessed to the police that she perpetrated the fraud with the help of her accomplice, Abiola Bosun who provided his UBA account for her to steal her employers N1 million leading to the arrest of Bosun.
Chief Magistrate Mrs Ayoku sentenced and jailed the convicts without an options of fine.
