He said that on 30th May, 2019, at about 17:50hrs, Ipaja Police Station received a complaint from Sedar College, Baruwa, that on the same date at about 9am, one Favour Ekemedili, an SS1 student complained of severe stomach ache and was rushed to the school sickbay.
The School bay immediately moved her to the General Hospital, which in turn referred her to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where she was admitted for medical attention.
DSP Elkana explained that the victim’s parents were contacted by the School authority. She eventually died at about 6pm while receiving treatment.
The Police Spokesman said that her friends, who witnessed the incident, stated that the stomach ache started after the girl reportedly took FAN juice. That on a closer check on the bottle of the juice, it was discovered that the bottle contained Sniper chemicals not juice. The chemical substance was taken for laboratory testing.
Elkana disclosed the Homicide detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department are investigating the case.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that this happened few days after a Lagos State Polytechnic part time student drank the same sniper that claimed his life after he was jilted by his lover.
It seems that the poisonous Sniper insecticide has become the easiest way for many people to take their lives because of the efficacy of the substance to kill victims easily nowadays.
