Finnih Cup Enters Second Round In Lagos

The ongoing Yomi Finnih U-14 boys football competition has reached the second round at Elegbeta sports centre, Lagos Island.

The tournament which started some weeks ago is being sponsored by Dr Oluyomi Finnih , a medical Director of Finnih Medical Centre. 32 teams are taking part in the male category

In fixtures released by the organisers, Greater Tomorrow face B-Unit, Flying Stars battle Biodun Babes.

In the female category, eight teams have qualified for the quarter-final stage. According to the fixtures released by the organisers, Bush FC face Muiz Angels, while Junior Arsenal take on Fash Babes on 23, November at St John Primary School, Meran, Alimosho.

The action continues on 27, November when Puma Angels face Sandra Girls as Lifeback Queens battle B Ladies.16 teams are taking part in the female category.

Chairman Organising Committee, Taofeek Ajibola said the competition was organized to keep the academies busy and also discover young talents that may represent the country both continental or intercontinental in the nearest future.

He thanked cup donor, Dr Finnih for his contribution towards football development in the state and charged the participating teams to play the game according to the rules and regulations
