Fr. Emmanuel Obimma On The Road To Ichabod?

It was MI the rapper who said and I quote, “even great Artists make fake Arts”. The very rigorous training of catholic priesthood is rooted in sound theology and time-tested doctrines of the mother church. Sadly, in all this, exceptions arise from the pack. Some are detected early during training, some manifest after ordination, and some others degenerate following constant reprobacy arising from contaminations with earthly vanities. Where this is the case, it becomes imperative to embark on a retreat and seek reparation.

Fr. Obimma needs to urgently embark on such a retreat as the Glory of his priestly calling is under serious threat. For a Priest who takes to the alter tell barefaced lies and incite his laity, insult persons old enough to father him and make caustic remarks against political actors, he is certainly a reproach to the mother church.
Bishop Onaga’s prolonged silence almost cost him his life from an irate congregation. If no lessons were learnt from that episode by the Catholic Bishops then it is safe to say that history will definitely repeat itself.
Fr. Obimma couldn’t have feigned ignorance of Governor Soludo’s pronouncement of tax exemptions for certain class of artisans (vulcanizers) and petty traders (hawkers and barrow pushers). A pronouncement widely circulated and applauded by ndi Anambra couldn’t have missed the Priest’s attention if he had not become a compulsive liar in cassock.
Same Priest on the altar, spited Prince Engr. Arthur Eze by openly calling him “an empty brain”. If Obimma has lost his priestly training, has he also lost his home training? Such that he now wrecklessly insults his elders without qualms?
There are lots of distasteful remarks that are uncatholic in that vain episode by one who calls himself a Priest. If the “Fathers of the church” do not rein in on this obvious excesses, we are sure hopeful that the worse days of the church in this century is yet to come. May God help his Church and bring judgment upon all who bring it to disrepute.
