FSARS Boss, Kaoje Bags Crime Bursting Award

The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad, FSARS at Adeniji Adele Road Lagos Island, Lagos, Mr. Ibrahim Kaoje has been honoured with a distinguished Award of Excellence in Security, Safety and Crime Bursting nationwide by the management of De Watch Media International, Publisher of the Lagos Watch Tabloid.
Kaoje was honoured at an elaborate event which took place at the FSARS Command, Lagos Island on 18 May in Commemoration of his second anniversary as the head in charge of FSARS, Lagos.
Also honoured at the occasion were other senior Police Officers of the FSARS for their various achievements in the provision of security in Lagos and Nigeria in particular.
The other Officers were ACP Olubunmi Ogedengbe in charge of operations at the FSARS, Lagos; CSP Oluseye Odunbaku; CSP Megida Dauda; SP Abel Ademola; DSP Olaniyi Festus; DSP Charles Odii; DSP Ibrahim Yusuf; ASP Garuba Oseni and their team members.
The ceremony attracted important personalities like the Ojora of Ijoraland, Oba Abdulfatai Aremu Aromire Ojora, who was represented by the Bashorun of Ojora Kingdom, Ijora, Chief Akin Ojora; Mr. Kunle Sangaolu Olowopejo, the Chairman of Egbe-Idimu LCDA; Comrade Abdulwaheed Adeyanju and host of others.
Speaking at the ceremony, while reeling out the achievements of DCP Kaoje since assuming Office at the FSARS two years ago, ACP Ogendengbe said DCP Kaoje is an astute disciplinarian and dogged crime fighter who has achieved a lot in crime fighting and bursting of numerous deadly gangs like armed robbers, kidnappers, cyber crimes, diversion of containerised goods and suspected assassins since assuming duty in 2016.
Ogedengbe said that Kaoje with the unalloyed support of his men arrested 116 armed robbers, and 51 kidnappers, recovered 62 cut-to-size double barrel guns, 82 locally-made pistols, one submachine gun, 65 single barrel guns, 412 various ammunition and 212 cartridges.
He added that all the arrested suspect including those involved in the 24 cases of diversion of goods have been charged to Court.
In her speech, Chairman, Award Committee of the De Watch Media International, Oyekunle Oluwakemi Jibromah, who was represented by Mr. Femi Awoleye said that DCP Kaoje was honoured with Excellence Award in Crime Bursting for his exemplary discharge of duties and gallantry.
He praised the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris for supporting Kaoje to succeed.
