Eleiko Group AB, a global leader in precision strength training equipment, has been announced as an Official Provider for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

As the Games’ Official Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting Equipment Provider, Eleiko will supply all competition, warm-up, and training equipment – including benches for Para Powerlifting, platforms, competition and training plates and competition bars – ensuring athletes compete using equipment that meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and precision.

In total, Eleiko will deliver two fully equipped competition arenas alongside more than 50 warm-up and training stations across Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting, all featuring custom branding to create a unified competition environment.

Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting will take place at the SEC Armadillo when the Commonwealth Games return to Glasgow from 23 July to 2 August. On the opening day of the Games, the very first gold medal will be awarded in Para Powerlifting, marking the first time a Para sport has opened the medal tally at a Commonwealth Games.

For 65 years, Eleiko has set the benchmark for precision, durability, and performance in strength training. This partnership reinforces Glasgow 2026’s commitment to delivering an inclusive Games, with Eleiko equipment supporting athletes at all levels, from grassroots to elite competition.

Eleiko will bring its latest barbell innovations to Glasgow, continuing its long-standing role in supporting elite performance on the platform. Built on 65 years of barbell expertise, the new range represents an evolution in feel, performance, and longevity – delivering greater precision, durability, and connection to the lifter experience, and aligning closely with the Games’ focus on excellence, inclusion, and athlete performance.

Natalie Cunningham, Director of Sport at Glasgow 2026, said: We’re expecting the Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting events to be some of the most exciting showcases of sport at Glasgow 2026, and it’s fantastic to have Eleiko’s support in bringing them to life, providing equipment that will be used to set world records.
