Golf Residency: A Housing Solution

Posted on December 30, 2023
I was at the Launch of the Golf Residency, Awka yesterday — a housing solution initiative of the Rainbow heritage group in partnership with the Anambra State Government.
The Rainbow Heritage Group is a credible real estate development company with flagship Estates like the “Reef Courts Estate”, a 444 unit housing estate in the heart of Port Harcourt City; “Primrose Estate”, a 200 housing unit nestled in Eleme, close to the Port Harcourt Refinary.
They are in Awka to replicate what they know how to do best with the development of the the GOLF Residency sited on a 55 hectares of land area at the recently approved Aguaba GRA, mapped out by the Anambra state government for the construction of the Awka 2.0 project. This project will make affordable housing available for middle and high income earners with robust infrastructure in a naturally scenic environment.
This is not about “land banking”, it is part of the Soludo administration’s effort to redefine the Awka capital city and provide housing solutions to the increasing number of urban residents in the capital city, leveraging a Private, Public Partnership (PPP) arrangement. Anambra is rapidly transforming into a destination rather than a departure lounge.
