Gov. Douye Diri Is A Rare Personality Whose Giant Strides Is Worthy Of Emulation

Gov. Douye Diri occupies an enviable space in the heart of majority of Bayelsans including those who criticize him publicly.

I cannot remember the number of leaders who never hid their dislike for his person before, yet they confessed to me that despite their dislike for him, they could not deny the fact that indeed, the Governor is a unique personality. Today, most of them have been converted and admitted into the DIRIOLOGY SCHOOL OF THOUGHT.

Many cannot stop confessing that he is unique in different ways.

Beside his humility, accessibility, generosity and compassionate disposition especially to widows, orphans, downtrodden and the Hoi Polloi in general, he is one leader that does harbour grudges or evil. He does not encourage anyone to use his name or office to undo, maltreat or victimize any Bayelsan irrespective of the person’s political inclination or disposition towards him.

Gov. Douye Diri is a cheerful heart. He is a Joy Giver. He is full of Positive Vibe that is Contagious.

He is one man that has never raised himself or carried himself in any way or manner that will make him feel or look superior to other Bayelsans.

We have seen leaders in our great state and we shall see more after the Prosperity Administration, but the fact remains that Gov. Douye Diri has distinguished himself in many ways. He has demystified the Office of the Governor by giving the people greater senses of belonging.

Indeed, Gov. Douye Diri is a perfect example of Plato’s conceptualization and postulation about the ‘PHILOSOPHER KING’ when he said that “society will not know or experience real peace, growth and development unless Philosophers become Kings or those who are already Kings become Philosophers”.

Gov. Douye Diri is living up to his discipline as a Political Scientist, Philosopher King, Social Scientist and a Social Engineer.

I therefore urge young people to emulate his lifestyle and worthy legacies. With the same token, I appeal for total support of all Bayelsans for the Prosperity Administration so that we shall work together in the building of the New Bayelsa State of our Dream.
