Gov Obiano, Prince Arthur Eze, Senator Ubah Set For Igbo Cultural Festival In Lagos

All is now set for the Igbo Cultural Festival coming up on Saturday 7th December, 2019, at Bishop Aggrey Memorial Secondary School, Mushin area ofLagos. Those billed to attend the event are His Excellency, Governor Willy Obiano, Prince Arthur Eze, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and a host of others.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the event, which is the 8th edition, is being organised by the Igbo Community in Mushin, Lagos, led by his HRH, Eze Dr. John C. Nwosu, Ezendigbo in Mushin land.
Dignitaries from all walks of life are usually expected to attend the event, where the Igbo Community displays their cultural heritage in Diaspora.
Speaking on the event, Eze Nwosu explained that the event was created to show the world that the Igbo stock have rich cultural heritage and also to sustain and maintain the culture to even the Igbo in Diaspora, who cannot travel home during the showcasing of the culture in Igbo land.
He said traditional rulers from various communities from Igbo land are coming for the festival, which is the only event that brings Igbo sons and daughters together in Lagos.
Nwosu explained that at the event that prominent Igbo and non Igbo who have contributed in one way or the other are honoured in order to encourage such people and others to do more.
He said many masquerades, cultural dances including Nollywood actors and actresses will display and be honoured.
His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano, Governor of Anambra State, Hon. Minister for Science and Technology, Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, PrinceArthur Eze, who is the father of the day and host of others are special guests coming to event under the chairmanship of Chief James Igwilo, Ebubeagu na Igbokwu, High Chief Samson Ifediba, Ugoebenaja Ndigbo as co-chairman. The guest speaker for this year’s event is Isaac Emeka Ufondu, leader of Reality Group International.
