Gov Uba Sani Appoints Engr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim As DG Of KADGIS

The Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has appointed Engineer Bashir Garba Ibrahim as the Director General of Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS).
Engineer Ibrahim holds a Doctorate and Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution.Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Special Adviser for Information and Communication Technology
Engineer Ibrahim is an experienced educator, researcher, scholar, and engineering professional, having served Nigeria in various capacities that cut across several sectors in education, engineering, research, procurement, and public service. He has worked at reputable institutions such as the AirForce Institute of Technology (AFIT) Kaduna and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Additionally, he has held various positions such as Managing Director-AFIT Consult Limited, Director-Centre for Defence Procurement, Logistic and Supply Chain Management, and Director-Public Procurement Research Centre, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
At Ahmadu Bello University between 2016 and 2020, he served as secretary to several committees such as University Tenders Board, University Procurement Planning Committee, University Project Monitoring Committee, and University Payment Improvement Committee. At the Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna, he held positions such as Chairman Curriculum Development (BSc/PGD/MSc Procurement and Supply Chain Management) Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Coordinator Technical Drawing Courses (Mechanical Engineering Department), and Chairman Curriculum Review (BSc/PGD/MSc Automotive Engineering) Department of Automotive Engineering.
He was also the National Coordinator Committee for Directors of Works and Physical Planning of Nigerian Universities in 2014 and served as Chairman of the Committee for the Restructuring of Procurement Division and Project Management (NARICT) Federal Ministry of Science and Technology.
The new DG is a also a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Chain Management (UK), Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Member, International Association of Engineers Senior Professional Engineer (IAE), Member, Council for the Regulation of Engineer’s (COREN), Fellow, African Society for Engineering Management and President (SEM), Member, International Industrial Accident Investigation Member (IIAI) AE, Fellow, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Fellow, Nigeria Association of Evaluators.
Governor Uba Sani urged Engr Garba  to remain diligent and apply his years of experience and dedication to excellence to move KADGIS forward.
