Grammy-winning Singer, Wizkid Teases New Album Project To Follow 2024’s ‘Morayo’

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has hinted at a new album, telling fans he is enjoying the creative process.

The Grammy Award-winning artist made the announcement in a post on his X handle.

“Having so much fun making this next one! Can’t wait to share #album,” he wrote.

The post quickly sparked excitement and conversation among fans who have been anticipating his next full-length project. Responding to the buzz in the comments, Wizkid added: “E go drop, make una stop dey fight.

The singer did not disclose a title or release date for the forthcoming album.

The new project would follow Morayo, Wizkid’s sixth studio album released in November 2024.

Morayo was dedicated to his late mother, Jane Balogun, and featured collaborations with Brent Faiyaz, Asake, Jazmine Sullivan, Tiakola, and Anaïs Cardot.

Wizkid has built a global profile with previous projects including Made in Lagos, More Love, Less Ego, and Sounds From the Other Side.

His music has helped push Afrobeats to wider international audiences, with several chart entries and sold-out shows across Europe, North America, and Africa.

Fans will now be watching for further updates on tracklist, features, and release plans for the upcoming album.
