Guard Lures Neighbour’s 15-Year Old Girl Into S*x After Fondling Breasts

A 27-year old security guard, Maxwell Isang, has been arrested in Lagos State for allegedly engaging his neighbour’s 15-year old girl in sex after fondling her breasts and getting her confused.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Isale Eko area of Dolphin Estate, Lagos State, where Isang was employed as security guard.
He has been charged before the Yaba Magistrate Court for unlawful conduct by having sexual intercourse with the girl.
According to the Police, the defendant had on many occasions lured the girl into his security post, fondled her breasts and got her confused.
However, he continued doing so until on 23rd March, 2023, when he was caught and handed over to the Police at Dolphin Estate Division. After his arrest, he was transferred to the SCID, Yaba, for further investigation over his conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment if found guilty..
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned after the prosecutor, Supol Thomas Nurudeen, asked the Court to give a date and refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the alleged offence was capital offence under the Criminal Laws of the State.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P. E. Nwaka, ordered his remand in custody at the Correctional Centre in Ikoyi and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 22nd May, 2023, for report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
