Halfway Through RHOLagos Season 3, The Glamour Is Unmatched But So The Drama

Posted on February 18, 2025

The Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Lagos wasted no time in turning up the heat. From glamorous events to explosive clashes and unexpected alliances, the drama has been non-stop.

In the first six episodes available on Showmax, there’s been it all: Laura and Mariam’s business lunch taking a messy turn with the mention of Toyin Lawani, Carolyna and Laura’s fragile relationship reaching a crossroads, and new bonds like the one between Dabota and Diiadem starting to form.

Meanwhile, Sophia’s fiery presence has already caused rifts, especially with Dabota. From emotional apologies to tension-filled beach getaways, this season is packing a punch. Here’s a recap of all the high drama, shocking moments, and jaw-dropping revelations from the first six episodes.

Dabota and Diiadem’s entrance

Episode 1 opened with new Housewives Dabota and Diiadem trying to make their mark. Dabota, a beauty mogul, entered the scene with an assertive presence, declaring, “You don’t have to like me. You don’t have to love me. But you must respect me.” Diiadem, CEO of Beauty by AD, exuded confidence with a calm yet firm warning, “Don’t look for my trouble.” The women formed a bond as new Housewives joining the clique.

Carolyna and Laura reconcile

Episode 2 revisited the strained relationship between Carolyna Hutchings and Laura. After past accusations, both parties made it clear that they were still awaiting apologies. In a surprising twist, Carolyna publicly apologised to Laura for their past conflicts.

The moment seemed genuine, but Laura, while appreciative, remained firm, stating, “I’ll do it on my own time” regarding her apology to Carolyna. Following the apology though, the two have gone on to be cordial with each other in the following episodes.

Tensions and power plays at Diiadem’s Afrocentric party

In Episode 3, Diiadem hosted a lavish Afrocentric-themed event featuring a live band and customised money with each of the Housewives’ faces for spraying the band. However, beneath the surface, the tensions among the Housewives were bubbling. Dabota and Mariam had strained interactions because Mariam felt her greeting when she arrived was not genuine enough as she was the only one who remained seated.

Sophia Momodu’s bold entrance

Episode 4 marked the arrival of Sophia Momodu, whose no-nonsense attitude immediately grabbed attention. She wasted no time asserting herself, especially during her conversation with Mariam, where she boldly stated, “Wetin I wan carry poor man do?”, which has sparked conversations from netizens online.

Sophia’s unapologetic stance on relationships sets her apart from the other Housewives, with her diary session revealing, “I don’t think a broke man will know what to do with a woman like me.”

Some may argue that she has caused a divide among the women with her bond with Carolyna and Mariam, which gets more apparent as the season progresses.

The clash of the Housewives at Dabota’s beach house getaway

In episodes 5 and 6, the ladies were invited to a beach house getaway, but what was meant to be a fun trip quickly spiralled into chaos. Laura’s absence was notable, with Dabota making it clear that she did not relate to Laura.

In Laura’s confessional, she also said, “Dabota and I do not vibe, and I understand that.” During a bonfire in the evening, after the fire dancers had performed, Sophia presented gifts to everyone except Dabota, who took it as a personal slight.

The animosity between Dabota and Sophia had been building since their boat clash, where Sophia decided to use her boat instead, with Mariam and Carolyna tagging along, leaving Dabota and Diiadem waiting for hours before they headed to the beach house in the commercial boat Dabota had rented for N1.8million.

Sophia’s room drama and Dabota’s ultimatum

Sophia’s complaints about her room at the beach house were met with Dabota’s harsh response. Sophia, feeling that her accommodations were subpar, called out the lack of a view and the presence of bugs. Dabota, however, hit back, telling Sophia, “You are a plus one,” emphasising that she was a guest of Carolyna and not her priority.

The tension between them only grew, with Dabota calling Sophia uncouth, and uncultured, and also accusing her of making a poor attempt to seek attention.

A clash of personalities and loyalties

The episode culminated in a major fallout between Dabota and Sophia, leaving everyone questioning whether these two could ever move past their differences. While Diiadem tried to mediate and Carolyna confronted Diiadem about her attitude, it was clear that the group was divided.

What’s next for RHOLagos?

With shifting loyalties and explosive confrontations, RHOLagos Season 3 is only heating up.

Will the Housewives find common ground, or will the drama continue to escalate?

Tune in every Monday for new episodes on Showmax.
