TACT Set To Purchase Presidential Nomination Form For Tinubu

Posted on April 4, 2026

Well meaning Nigerians home and abroad through a pro-government group, Take Action Campaign for Tinubu (TACT), has formally written to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda expressing its intention to purchase the presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

The group urged Mr President to remain focused on the Renewed Hope Agenda as it commits to raising funds required for his re-election campaign.

The National Convener of the Take Action Campaign for Tinubu Hon. Tony Nwulu made this disclosure while addressing APC women leaders that visited him to show solidarity.

The group said the move by the public spirited individuals to take the decision was driven by what it described as the “significant and far-reaching reforms” implemented by the Tinubu administration over the past three years, spanning economic restructuring, infrastructure development, and governance reforms.

In a letter dated April 4, 2026, and signed by its Director-General, Tony Nwulu, TACT stated that Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora, were convinced of the need for continuity to sustain and consolidate the administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.”

According to the group, offering to purchase the nomination form is a demonstration of confidence in the President’s leadership and a reflection of growing support among citizens who believe that ongoing reforms require more time to yield full benefits.

“The decision to support President Tinubu for a second term is informed by the bold and transformative policies initiated under his leadership. We believe continuity is essential to fully realise the gains of these reforms,” the letter read in part.

TACT further noted that the administration’s policies, though challenging in the short term, are laying a solid foundation for long-term national growth and stability. It added that the President has shown the political will to take difficult but necessary decisions in the interest of the country.

The group also used the opportunity to appeal to Nigerians to remain patient and supportive, urging citizens to demonstrate resilience as the government continues to implement its policy agenda.

“We call on Nigerians to show greater understanding and cooperation with the government, as these reforms are designed to ultimately improve the socio-economic well-being of all citizens,” the group added.

The group further stated in the letter that it would not only purchase the form for the President but also work hard to ensure that he emerges as the winner of the 2027 election through citizen engagement and enlightenment

The group therefore called on Nigerians to join hands with the Tinubu administration in achieving its mandate in the interest of the masses.
