Hannatu, A Movie On Girl Child Education, Set For Release
Hannatu, the spectacular movie focusing on the tale of every girl child who desires education, is set for release.
The movie, which has been described as a hit because of its depth of analysis and theme, is packaged by Truerise Media, produced by Desmond Shepherd and directed by Best Okoduwa.
The movie project revolves around 14-year-old Hannatu, the only child of an old school teacher, Mr. Bewarang, and his wife, who have lived all their lives in Kaduna and wanted their girl and only child to get educated.
A couple later visited the family in Kaduna and who took the girl away from her parents and brought to Lagos.
While with the couple, Hannatu was subjected to constant abuse, sexual attempts, pain and psychological torture all in the name of wanting to train her in and be educated.
The movie underscores the fact that the girl child education is still on the rise.
It also revealed that some under the guise of training the girl/child in school, take them away from their unsuspecting parents only to turn them into house helps in their respective homes.
Hannatu features top Nollywood actors including Greg Ojefua, Doris Simon, Christian Paul, Carol Lee Erhabor and introducing little Anita Udoh who acted as Hannatu.
