Heavenly 100th Birthday: Our Own Pa Newton Igali, FCCA

On 27th July, 2026, as always, we remember Newton Aaron Amie Igali, ACCA, FCCA, on his posthumous 100th Birthday.

You lived a truly worthy life of service to man and God and left a worthy legacy for us. During your walk on earth you were a pioneer in many areas. You were a foremost educationist, a school head teacher in the 1950s, in Yenagoa province, Ijaw activist and advocate for creation of Rivers State in the United Kingdom in the early 1960s, pioneer Chartered Accountant from old Rivers State mid 1960s (ACCA), pioneer Chief Accountant Rivers State Transport Corporation 1970s, pioneer Bursar College of Science and Technology (now Rivers State University) 1972, pioneer Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA/FCCA) 1980. A top business man, community leader and a Christian worker within the Anglican Communion.

Your service to man and to God continues to inspire us and lead us to greater heights for many generations to come.

You were a gentleman of gentlemen, leaving a good impression every where your feet threaded. May you continue to rest soundly in the arms of our Lord.
