Henkel Nigeria Celebrates the Next Generation of Scientists on Children’s Day

As part of the activities marking the global commemoration of children’s day, Henkel Nigeria has reinstated its commitment to promoting scientific and educational development by engaging pupils of Progressive Primary School, Oyewole, Agege at an event facilitated by Henkel’s partner NGO; Girls and Women Technological Empowerment Organization (GWTEO).

Rajat Kapur, the Managing Director of Henkel Nigeria, emphasized Henkel’s dedication to inspiring the next generation and fostering a love for science and education.

Rajat noted, “We are proud to play a role in inspiring the next generation of researchers and fostering a passion for science. Our ‘Researchers’ World’ initiative reflects our commitment to making a positive impact on the communities we serve”.

In her remarks, Yinka Atoba, Coordinator of Girls and Women Technological Empowerment Organisation (GWTEO) highlighted the significant impact on empowering children and fostering a love for science and technology.

She said, “The “Researchers’ World” initiative, has been very instrumental in providing children with hands-on science experiments, promoting critical thinking and creativity.

Since the Researchers’ World initiative commenced in November 2021, over 1000 pupils have been impacted in several Primary schools in Lagos and Ibadan, Nigeria.
