Hon. Kasunmu is certainly a man of history, made by history and made for good history.

He made another history on Tuesday 6th June, 2023, by becoming the first lawmaker from Ikeja Constituency 2 to be sworn-in for a record third term in office.

Hon. Kasunmu defeated his Labour Party and PDP opponents with over 10,000 votes margin to emerge the winner of the State Houses of Assembly election conducted on 18th March this year.

Prior to this, all his predecessors such as Hon. Debo Olasoji, Hon. Bayo Odulana and Hon. Lola Akande spent a maximum of two (2) terms as Ikeja Constituency 2 representatives.

However, Hon. Kasunmu, who turned 40 in March this year, has broken that record completely by taking the oath of office for his third term tenure on Tuesday 6th June 2023.
