Hon Kasunmu Partners With Europe-Based Football Scouts To Raise Soccer Stars In Ikeja

Posted on June 16, 2023

As part of his vision for youth and sports development in Ikeja Constituency 2 and Lagos State in general, the Deputy Majority Leader of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), has concluded plans with an Europe-based Football Scout to hunt for potential soccer stars across his Constituency.

This unique talent discovery and development project is coming under ARK SPORTS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (ARK-SPD), whose primary objective is to hunt for and develop raw talents from the inner communities, who would be given various platforms and opportunities to grow and become super stars in the round leather game in top clubs in Europe and other parts of the world.

To achieve this, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK) has invited a FIFA-Licensed Football Scout, known as *JE9 SPORTS LOGISTICS*, all the way from Portugal to begin an Open Trial Screening in Ikeja, Lagos.

As we speak, the officials of JE9 Sports Logistics are already in the country and the first leg of the Open Trial Screening is commencing on Friday, 16th June, 2023, at Ikeja Police College football pitch in the morning.

The targeted age bracket for this project is 16 to 21 years.

Already, invitations have been extended to youth-based football clubs and academies across Ikeja and Lagos.

According to a statement from the officials of JE9 SPORTS LOGISTICS;
“The trial and screening is open to all youngsters within the ages of 16 and 21 across Ikeja and Lagos.
We are starting immediately at the Police College football pitch and we are going to have several sessions. Interested and talented youths can still join us”.

“We seize this opportunity to extend our appreciation to the Deputy Majority Leader of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK) for putting this together and making this opportunity available for young people in his Constituency and Lagos State in general. It is our belief that at the end of this exercise, a number of lucky chaps will emerge and get opportunities to travel to Europe to hone their skills and become soccer super stars.”

Speaking further on the Open Trials, Hon. Kasunmu said;
“This is part of my Youth development program and I want to thank JE9 SPORTS LOGISTICS for making their platform available for this project.
I sincerely hope our young lads in Ikeja Constituency 2 between the targeted ages will take maximum advantage of this initiative and I encourage our youth football academies and clubs across Ikeja Constituency 2 and beyond to take part in it and start their journey to stardom on this platform.   My vision is to see Ikeja Constituency 2 produce  super stars in the game of football and other sports”.

The screening schedule of the programme reveals that after the opening trial sessions of Friday 16th June, other sessions will continue on Monday, Wednesday and Friday next week.
