Samola, Chief Joseph Olatunde, the LCDA Woman Leader, Mrs Dupe Ogunyemi, the Council Chair lady, Mrs. Oluwakemi Olatunde, members of the Executive Council of the LCDA, members of the Legislative Arm as well as Special Advisers to the Chairman.

Giving his victory speech, the LGA Chairman appreciated everyone who contributed to the success story. He remarked : ” I sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this success story. Special gratitude to God Almighty! May I also appreciate our father here, Onisalu of Illogbo for his fatherly role. The Council Chairman, Hon. Samola deserves special appreciation.

“It is my belief that every one of us shall reap the fruit of our labour in Mr. Sanwo-Olu’s government.”

Addressing the gathering, Chief Joseph Olatunde, the Onisalu of Illogbo called for unity amongst APC members in Olorunda LCDA. The Apex Leader, who began his speech with a popular thanksgiving song in Yoruba, ‘ Eje ka dupe ‘, implored all members to also work harder for the party to be more formidable.

He remarked: “Let me call on everyone to be united as divided we fall. There is a lot to gain if united. Our unity has produced fantastic results in the elections but we still need to do more.

“Badagry came 15th in Lagos State in terms of number of votes polled ahead of likes of Ikeja and Amuwo. However, we can still do more and the success lies in how formidable we are.”

The Party Apex Leader called on the LGA and the Council Chairmen to lobby for juicy posts for Olorunda members of the party.

The Women Leader, Mrs. Dupe Ogunyemi, could not contain her joy. In her speech, she said:”All we have to do is to rejoice and celebrate. I only pray that we all shall reap the rewards of our labour. Thanks to all the women who have been committed to the party’s progress. God bless you all.”

In his speech, Hon. Samson Olatunde, popularly known as Samola, appreciated all and sundry, especially the party’s leadership structure.

“This is not the time for much talk but for celebration and jubilation. Every one of us will come out and dance. But before the dance, I appreciate you all for your efforts in the just concluded elections. May God continue to bless you all!” the Council Chairman remarked.

The party was one of glitz and glamour as joy radiated everywhere all through the well organised event.
