Hon Segun Odunmbaku Wins Re-Election In Landslide Victory As APC Sweeps Ojodu LCDA Polls

The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, has secured a resounding re-election victory, clinching a second term in office following a landslide win at the 2025 local government elections held on Saturday.

 

Running on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Odunmbaku and his running mate, Alhaja Kafayat Layeni, popularly known as the DOS-KFL team, achieved an overwhelming triumph across all six wards in Ojodu LCDA, defeating their closest rival, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), by a wide margin.

Ward A: APC – 4,656 | PDP – 153

Ward B: APC – 4,529 | PDP – 127

Ward C: APC – 4,668 | PDP – 76

Ward D: APC – 3,355 | PDP – 62

Ward E: APC – 2,059 | PDP – 75

Ward F: APC – 4,660 | PDP – 167

Total Votes: APC – 23,927 | PDP – 660

 

In addition to the Chairmanship mandate, APC also won all six councillorship seats in the LCDA, affirming the dominance of the party and the widespread acceptance of its candidates at the grassroots.

Speaking after the announcement of the results, Hon. Odunmbaku expressed heartfelt appreciation to the good people of Ojodu LCDA for renewing their confidence in his leadership. He also paid glowing tribute to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu, party structure and its Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, with political leaders especially Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku and Hon James Abiodun Faleke, whose unwavering guidance and mentorship were instrumental in the party’s success.

 

“This victory belongs to the people of Ojodu LCDA. I am humbled by your overwhelming support and I assure you that the next four years under the #HEYSRELOADED agenda will bring even greater development, inclusiveness and impact across our communities,” Odunmbaku stated.

 

As celebrations continue across Ojodu LCDA, residents look forward with optimism to a new chapter of progress, empowerment and transformation under the renewed leadership of Hon. Segun Odunmbaku.
