Hon. Umeoji Optimistic Of Victory At Both Primary & General Election As He Picks Nomination Form

House of Reps Member and the leading Gubernatorial aspirant of APGA for November 6, polls in Anambra State, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji KSJI, has purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination form of his party APGA on Thursday, 27th May, 2021 at the National Secretariat of APGA, Katampe Area of Abuja.

The Gubernatorial aspirant, who was accompanied to purchase the form by dozens of supporters, Critical Stakeholders of the APGA and eleven State House of Assembly members present, shortly after the purchase expressed optimism in emerging the candidate of APGA for the November Gubernatorial in the State. 

The National Vice Chairman South of the All Progressives Grand Alliance party, Chief Uche Okogbuo, presented the forms to Hon. Chukwuma Michael Umeoji KSJI after submission of necessary documents and charged him to go represent the party and run issue based campaign. Chief Okogbuo, in his address, stressed that APGA is more like a family and must do all they can to ensure its growth. He assured that the National Working Committee of the party have resolved to conduct a free, fair and credible Primary on June 23rd.

Addressing newsmen shortly after receiving the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms and party guidelines for the forthcoming primaries, Hon. Umeoji said he is optimistic of victory. He assured that God is on his side and as a party man, who has served the party and the people of the State in various capacities, he is sure of the support of the party faithfuls who will likely emerge as the party delegates for the Primary election.

“I am already looking beyond the Primary election, because by the special grace of God, Heaven has Endorsed us and the people, not just APGA faithfuls, but entire Anambra Electorates are in support of our Candidacy” 

Umeoji, a former Senior Special Assistant on Grassroot Mobilization, Executive Chairman Aguata LGA, Chairman of ALGON as well as Board Member of Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State, extolled the virtues of Governor Willie Obiano and Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Oye, the National Leader and Chairman of the third largest party in Nigeria, reaffirmed his commitment towards a better and more organised Anambra State, where the Rule of Law will reign supreme, while quality infrastructures would be provided and employment given to the people.

The Gubernatorial aspirant said his campaign is hinged on consolidation and continuity, noting that Governor Willie Obiano has done well and would be leaving a bogus shoes behind.

Other State House of Assembly Members present also expressed confidence in the ability and capacity of the Federal lawmaker. 

Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu described Umeoji as a team player, whose capacity has been severally  tested and affirmed in previous State and National assignments he has held in the past, and pleaded with the National and State Leadership of the party to provide a level playing field for all aspirants contesting the governorship position in APGA.

Pius Nwanayoze Okoye, Hon. John Nwokoye, Hon. Ibuzo Edward, Hon. Jose Okonkwo, Hon. Barr. John Onyeakpa, Local Government Chairmen, Supporters Group and other State Executive members amongst many others.
