A 16-year-old house girl, Miss Happiness Adoja, has wrecked her socialite madam after she went to her bedroom and stole all her jewelleries worth N5m and sold them as scraps in Lagos.

The incident happened at 7 Kolawole close in Ilupeju where the victim who did not want her name in print resides with the suspect.

Among the items she stole are gold, wrist watches, chains and necklaces.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that when Adoja was brought in as house help, she was conducting herself well to the extent that the madam trusted and gave her access to her bedroom where she kept those items.

While the victim had no cause to suspect her, but Adoja had another motive.

Our correspondent gathered that one day, when her madam went out, Adoja reportedly went inside her madam’s bedroom, ransacked the whole place and carted away all the jeweleries kept in the house and sold them as scraps.

When her boss returned and started looking for the items, she initially denied and later confessed that she sold it to those mallams who go from house to house to buy scraps.

When she was asked to lead the place to the malam’s shop, she replied that she did not know the place.

The matter was reported to the police who arrested her and charged her to court.

At the Ikeja Magistrate’s court where she was arraigned before presiding Magistrate, Mrs O.A. Layinka, it was discovered that she was an underage and will not face trial there.

Our correspondent gathered the matter has been referred to juvenile court in the same Ikeja where she will now face trial.
