Housewife In Police Net For Hiring Brother As Assassin To Eliminate Co-Wife

A jealous housewife, Zaliha Abdulmumin, has landed in trouble for allegedly hiring  her brother, Hamisu Lawan Tumfafi, as assassin to eliminate her co-wife, Amina Lawal in Kano State.
 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Mrs. Zaliha and her brother,Tumfafi, have been arrested and charged before Magistrates Court in Kano for conspiracy and murder.
The incident happened at Dawakin in  Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, where they reside.
The Police alleged that Mrs. Zaliha and her brother were accused of conspiracy to commit murder, whereby she invited her brother to assist her beat her co-wife, thereby injuring her on her body to the extent that she fainted.
The Police found them culpable after thorough interrogation and consequently charged them before the Court to face trial over their conduct.
The prosecutor, Barr. Jamilu Abubakar, told the Court that the defendants allegedly entered the room of the plaintiff, tied her with a rope and beat her up and she fainted in the process before she was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where she was revived and undergoing treatment.
However, the defendants pleaded guilty to the offence but denied that they attempted killing the plaintiff.
The Presiding Magistrate, Halima Nasir, ordered their remand in custody at the correctional center pending when their bail conditions will be considered while the matter was adjourned till 16th March, 2023, for continuation of hearing.
