According to the Police, the suspect was said to have constantly assaulted the victim to the extent that their neighbours were aware and had tried to intervene in vain.

On this particular day when the incident happened, the suspect was said to have seriously assaulted the victim and used a stone to hit her before their neighbours intervened and contacted the Police at Ikotun Division.

She was arrested and detained at the Family Support Unit for interrogation over her alleged conduct. She was found culpable for her conduct after interrogation and the Police subsequently charged her before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged assault.

However, she pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
