Housewife Loses Pregnancy During Public Fight With Neighbour

A housewife, Mrs. Bunmi Olunlade, has lost her pregnancy of twins during a public fight with her neighbour, Olabisi Oyebolu, over the cleaning of their compound in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at No. 33 Oluyeye Street, Mafoluku area of Oshodi, Lagos, where they reside.
The 34-year old woman, Mrs. Olabisi Oyebolu, has been arrested and charged for allegedly beating up the victim and causing her to lose pregnancy.
She was charged for conspiracy aand assault, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
However, she pleaded not guilty when she was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Raji Akeem, informed the Court that a fight had ensued between the defendant and the complainant, Mrs., Bunmi Olunlade, over the cleaning of their compound.

Akeem said in the cause of the heated exchange on 26th July, 2023, Olabisi and her siblings, who are still at large, beat up the complainant, causing her to lose her pregnancy.
The prosecutor stated that the offences contravened Sections 173 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Presiding Chief Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and addresses verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 22nd February,2024, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody 6correctional centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
