How 3 Notorious Armed Robbers Terrorizing Ogun Community Were Arrested

Police operatives from the Ogun State Command have arrested three suspected robbers terrorising the Ejirin community, Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State, at their hideout in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that as was disclosed by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, who stated that their arrest followed the apprehension of one member of the syndicate, who had gone to rob the Cele Ejirin community.

SP Odutola said upon the arrest and interrogation of the first suspect, identified as Qudri Yusuf, he led police operatives to their hideout in the Idioro area of Mushin, Lagos State, where two other members of the syndicate were arrested. She identified the two suspected members of the syndicate as Bolaji Zutan and Oladimeji Yusuf.

The PPRO said, “On 18/09/2024, following the confessional statement of an armed robbery suspect, one Qudri Yusuf, M, 30, who had gone to rob a resident at Cele Ejirin Road in Ijebu-Ode on 10/09/2024, he led the team of detectives to their criminal hideout at Idioro, Mushin, Lagos, where two other members of the armed robbery gang, one Bolaji Zutan, M, 19, and one Oladimeji Yusuf, M, 30, were arrested.”

She stated that exhibits, including cutlasses, were recovered from the suspects while stressing that efforts were ongoing to arrest other fleeing members of the syndicate and possibly recover the stolen items.

 

She stated that the suspects will be charged before Court for the alleged criminal offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
