How Baby Factory Operators Recruited Men To Impregnate Victims To Produce Babies For Sale – Police

The arrest of a 35-year old woman, Mariam Vincent, along with two accomplices, Orie Ruth, 23, and Ujunwa Ifeanyi, 18, who allegedly operate a baby factory, has revealed how they recruit some men to impregnate their victims to produce babies for sale in Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the revelations were made following the arrest of the suspects and rescue of 11 victims, who were held hostage and forced to sleep with men to get pregnant.
The victims were brought from various parts of Nigeria and kept in captivity, where the suspects brought different men to impregnate them in order to produce babies to be sold to their customers as revealed by some of the victims.
The victims were rescued in Ijegun area of Lagos in a raid by the Police operatives from the Lagos State Command following an intelligence report of their activities over the years.
This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the rescue of 11 victims and the arrest of three individuals involved in operating a baby factory in the Ijegun area of the state.
The Command’s image maker, CSP Hundeyin, stated that the illegal operation was uncovered on April 5, 2025, following a tip-off.
“The Police carried out a raid on the baby factory and apprehended three persons including the facility operator, Mariam Vincent, 35, along with two accomplices, Orie Ruth, 23, and Ujunwa Ifeanyi, 18.”
“During the raid, Police officers were able to rescue several victims, including three children aged seven, five, and two.”
“Seven women and three children, all held against their will, were rescued during the operation. The adult victims have been identified as Precious (24), Magdalene (25), Adaobi (23), Princess (22), Ifeanyi (25), and Amaka (26). The children rescued were Destiny, a 7-year-old boy; Miracle, a 5-year-old girl; and Success, a 2-year-old girl.”
He stated that the rescued victims are currently receiving appropriate care and support.
“During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to abducting their victims from different parts of the state for the purpose of running a baby factory.”
The spokesman, Hundeyin, stated that investigation is ongoing, and the suspects will be charged before the Court for their various criminal involvement under the Criminal Laws of the State but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
