Facts have emerged on how a 40-year old notorious suspected armed robber and cultist, Rasheed Isiaka, was arrested after his charms failed him during an operation in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Isiaka, who resides at No. 4, Olowonisaye Street, Ikorodu, Lagos, had been on Police surveillance for a while and usually escaped through diabolical means, which seemed to make him look invincible.

However, the Police demystified the myth and arrested Isiaka at about 12:10am on Thursday, April 15, 2021 during an operation.

This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, who said that Isiaka was arrested with another criminal suspect, a 22-year old Tobiloba Akeem at Itamagba, on 16th April, 2021, at about 5.45am by Police operatives from Sagamu Road, Ikorodu, Lagos.

He said items recovered from the suspects, who were of different syndicates, were three locally-made pistols, live cartridges, a laptop, two suspected stolen Bajaj motorcycles, two knives and assorted charms.

Tobiloba and his criminal accomplice, now at large, were said to have resisted paying their transport fares to the driver of a Toyota Previa bus, with Reg No LSD 369 FU, in which an Inspector of Police, Atunramu Ojo, attached to the Oworonshoki Police Division in Lagos, was also a passenger.

Inspector Ojo, in the statement, was piqued by the attitude of the two hoodlums by insisting that they have to pay.
Ojo, it was gathered, stood his ground, a scenario that attracted Police operatives from the Sagamu Road Divisional Headquarters on a routine patrol.
The operatives succeeded in arresting Tobiloba, while his partner escaped, CSP Adejobi said.

A search was conducted on him, during which one locally-made pistol, live cartridges and assorted charms were discovered.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, while commending the gallantry of the Police Inspector and other operatives for the feats, directed that the suspects be transferred to the Command’s Special Squad for thorough investigation and possible prosecution.
