How Jilted Security Guard Stabbed 25-Year Old House Help To Death

The Police operatives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba, have arrested a jilted security guard, Job Barnabas, over the allege brutal murder of a 25-year old house help, Miss Theresa Ekibi, over failure to woo her as his lover in Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at County Home Estate, Lekki area of Lagos, where Barnabas and the victim, Theresa, were employed as security guard and house help respectively.
The victim suffered her fate after Barnabas attempted to woo her but she turned him down. He then became angry, picked a cutlass and inflicted injury on her and eventually killed her.
Having realized that he had murdered her, he attempted to escape but he was held by neighbours, who then contacted the Police at Ikota Division. He was arrested and transferred to the SCID for further investigation over the alleged murder.
The Police also retrieved the corpse of the deceased and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy reports and have commenced investigation on the matter while the suspect was said to have made useful information to the Police.
According to Police sources, the suspect, Barnabas was said to be a member of the dreaded Boko Haram, who fled from Kaduna State to Lagos State and took up a security job at Lekki, where the incident happened.
The late Theresa was said to hail from Wanikade town, Iyala Local Government Area of Cross River State, came to Lagos and took up the job of a house help before she was murdered on 5th March, 2023.
The Police Police Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, could not be reached to confirm the incident. However, Police sources confirmed the incident and said that the suspect will be charged before the Court but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
