How Man, 27, Lured Facebook Lover To Guest House, Drugged & Raped Her

A 27- year old man,  Samuel Oduok, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for attempted murder for allegedly luring a lady to a guest house, drugged, raped her and thereafter robbed her of iPhone before he escaped. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Emkay Guest House located at Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos.
According to the Police,  the suspect met the victim on Facebook, they started chatting and he invited her to the guest house for them to meet physically.
While there, he drugged her food and drinks and she became unconscious as a result. He took her to a room, raped and robbed her of iPhone before he escaped without the knowledge of the management.
 The matter was reported to the Police. Operatives had been trailing him until recently when he contacted another lady somewhere at Alausa area of Ikeja and he was identified and arrested for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
During interrogation,  he denied until the victim was brought before him and he could not deny any longer as he was also captured by the CCTV camera at the guest house.
The Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged attempted murder, robbery and rape under the Criminal Laws of the State.
The charges read:
“That you, Samuel Oduok ‘m’, on the 17th day of May, 2024 at about 0030hrs at a Guest House Oregun,Ikeja, in the Magisterial District, with intent to unlawfully kill did attempt to murder the victim ‘f by drugging her drink and food, which she consequently lost consciousness as a result of grievous harm that you inflicted on her internally and thereby committed an offence Punishable under Section 230(a)(b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
 COUNT II:” That you, Samuel Oduok ‘m’, on the same date, time and place, in the aforementioned Magisterial District, while armed with dangerous weapons such as knife, dagger, did rob the victim of her IPhone 12 pro max valued Eight Hundred Thousand Naira (N800,000.00) and thereby committed an offence contrary to and Punishable Section 297(2)(a)(b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT III:” That you, Samuel Oduok ‘m’, on the same date, time and place, in the forementioned Magisterial District, did steal one IPhone 12 pro max valued Eight Hundred Thousand Naira (N800,000.00) property of one Nancy Collins ‘f and ereby committed an offence contrary to and Punishable Section 287 of the Criminal w of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT IV:” That you, Samuel Oduok ‘m’, on the same date, time and place, in the mentioned Magisterial District, did unlawfully have carnal knowledge of the victim without her consent and thereby committed an offence and punishable under Section 323 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the Prosecutor,  Supol Akeem Raji, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.Kusanu ordered, his remand in the correctional center pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody pending when the DPP’s report will be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
