How Man Employed Thief As House Security Guard

A man, Adewale Tokosi, did not bargain for what happened to him after he employed a security guard, Gaya Mohammed, and it turned out that the guard he employed was a habitual criminal in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS confirmed that few days after the guard, Mohammed, was employed, he engaged two other members of his gang namely Suleiman Mohammed and Ishemu Yakubu and they stole three big generators from the house; they were escaping before they were eventually caught.
The incident happened at Aboyomi Adewale Street, Ago Okota area of Lagos State, where the victim resides and engaged Mohammed as his security guard.
The suspects were said to have carted away the generators before the residents, who suspected their conduct, raised alarm, contacted the Police at Ago Division. They were then apprehended and detained at the Police Station.
During interrogation, the guard, Mohammed, admitted that he wanted to steal the generators and he was the person that engaged the two other suspects to assist him to move them away.
The Police found them culpable and subsequently charged them before the Isolo Magistrates Court for conspiracy and stealing.
The pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Oje Uagbale, asked the Court to give a date for adjournment to enable the Police to prove that they committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Akokhia, denied the guard, Mohammed bail but granted the two other defendants bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
They were remanded in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when the two accomplices will perfect their bail conditions while the guard will remain in custody pending when the Court will determine his matter.
The matter was adjourned till 13th October, 2021, for trial.
