How Man Fondled Breasts & Defiled Girl, 13

A 32-year old man, Sunday Ukeme, has landed in trouble in Lagos State after he allegedly lured a 13-year old girl and defiled her after fondling her breasts and getting her confused.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ibeji Lekki area of Lagos, where they reside.

The girl was said to have fallen into his trap after she was lured into his apartment. He said to have initially used words of mouth to hold her and then started fondling her breasts before she became more confused and he then penetrated her.

Having satisfied himself, he allowed her to go but by then the girl regained her senses. She felt bad and then informed her parents about what happened.

The matter was reported to the Police in the area and the suspect, Ukeme, was arrested. He was later transferred to the SCID, Yaba, for further investigation.

After investigation, the Police found him culpable because the victim is still a minor.

Hence, the Police charged him before the Ebute Metta Magistrates Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Mr. Olatunde Kehinde, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.O. Ekundayo, ordered his remand in custody without an option of bail pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice.

The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to DPP, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
