The Police charged Mrs. Kayode and her sexual partner, Charles, 39, who is a civil servant, with three counts bordering on criminal conspiracy and adultery by man and woman.

They were brought before the Presiding Magistrate, Yusuf Ibrahim, who sentenced her to six months imprisonment with an option of fine of N5,000, after she pleaded guilty to the charges while Charles was granted bail in the sum of N200,000 with two reasonable sureties in like sum.
