The duo of Oru East and Orlu Local Government Areas adequately confirmed that the Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, has battled the insecurity being credited to the two councils to its knees. Oru East and Orlu councils proved this today during the visit of the Hon. Macdonald Ebere PhD, led state leadership of Imo APC for its ongoing Town Hall Meeting with critical stakeholders of the party in the areas.

At Omuma, the headquarters of Oru East, the APC Chairman, Sir Amasiatu Alban, welcomed the state leaders and elders of the party with joy and enthusiasm.

According to him “We are very delighted to welcome the chairman of our great party, Sir MacDonald Ebere, PhD and his team to Oru East.

“On behalf of APC members in Oru East, I most sincerely thank our leaders. You can see that Oru East is intact. We are rebuilding and we are better and stronger now than ever before. Yes, we had issues, but we have overcome most of our challenges’, he noted.

Standing on the already established order of proceedings, the sole administrator, Nze Celestine Onyeaka, was upright and forthright in his submission..

“We are standing still for APC today because we know very well that the governor means well. Of course, there were challenges here, particularly insecurity, but things have improved tremendously. Our assurance is, we shall deliver APC in all aspects of the 2023 general elections”, he assured.

Addressing party supporters, Hon Chigozie Nwaneri, the serving member representing Oru East in the Imo State House of Assembly and who is equally the party’s candidate for 2023 election, said Ori East has only one party which is Governor Hope Uzodimma.

“Take it that Oru East will not disappoint APC. We shall vote massively for all our party’s candidates for presidency, national and state assembly elections. And in November next year we shall deliver our governor for a second term”, he observed.

In his address, the APC apex leader in the area, Chief Ferdinand Uzodimma, stated that all the issues raised about Oru East would be resolved in due time.
