Police operatives from the Rapid Response Squad, (RRS), have arrested a 29-year old leader of ‘one-chance’ gang, Oliseh Sunday, popularly known as Bobwhiskey, during operation in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the 29-year Bobwhiskey was arrested alongside two other members of the gang, Wale Ajayi, 24 and Abideen Saka, 26, who were arrested at their hideout following weeks of intensive investigation.
The three suspects are members of a ‘one-chance’ gang operating along Oshodi–Gbagada Expressway, Lagos.
However, the suspects met their waterloo on 14th April, 2023, when they went for an operation and abandoned their operational vehicle, a Suzuki mini bus, popularly known as ‘korope’, at Gbagada area of Oshodi-Oke along Gbagada–Oshodi Expressway.
RRS operatives, who suspected their movement, accosted them while trying to drop off a victim, apprehended and detained them for interrogation.
During investigation, it was revealed that the suspects had earlier hijacked the operational vehicle at gunpoint at Ketu Bus Stop, Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Ojo, sometime in February and the incident was reported at Ijanikin Police Divisional Headquarters.
This was disclosed by the Lagos State Command Police Public Relations, Officer,  SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed that the suspects were in custody undergoing interrogation over their alleged criminal conduct.
He stated that the suspects have since been charged before the Court and remanded in custody at Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, for conspiracy and armed robbery under the Criminal Laws of Lagos State
