How Police Busted 5 Suspected Cultists While Forcefully Initiating Victim In Hotel

The fight against cultism is gaining momentum in Lagos State following the arrest of five suspected cultists while initiating a victim in a popular hotel in Ajegunle area of Lagos State. 
 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the arrested five suspected cultists included, Peter Odumola,19, Promise Benjamin, 20, Emmanuel Ikechukwu, 19, Richards Adu, 18 and Abdullahi Nasiru, 20.
They were arrested by the Police operatives from Tolu Division, who acted swiftly after receiving information of the planned initiation at the hotel and they moved, arrested the suspects and equally rescued the victim.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed that the suspects were in Police custody undergoing interrogation over their alleged conduct.
Hundeyin explained that the suspects were arrested on Sunday, 9th July, 2023, at about 0200hrs following receipt of a distress call concerning an ongoing forceful initiation happening in a hotel in the Ajegunle area of state.
He stated that the Police moved in, successfully rescued the victim, arrested the suspects and detained them while  investigationg is on over their alleged conduct.
He stated that the suspects will be arraigned in Court for the alleged offence but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
SP Hundeyin further stated that the  Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has urged Lagosians to promptly alert the Police of any suspicious happenings in their localities to further enable the Police rid the state of crime and criminality.
