How Police DTO Received Hot Slaps From Lady For Apprehending Drunk Lover On Highway

The Police officers at Ejigbo Division of the Lagos State Command have displayed high level of professionalism by sparing a lady, Amblessed Odukwo, who gave the Divisional Traffic Officer, DSP Yemisi Adeyemi, serious slaps at the Station, her face got swollen and she was rushed to hospital for treatment.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that DSP Adeyemi suffered her fate for apprehending the lady’s drunk lover, Gabriel Okafor, at NNPC Bus Stop along Egbe- Ejigbo Road, Ejigbo, over misconduct on the highway.
The victim, DSP Adeyemi, who led her team on routine traffic duty on the road, intercepted Gabriel Okafor’s vehicle for attacking a tricycle operator, one Dayo Lawal and smashing his tricycle screen.While Gabriel was being taken to the Station, the lady in question, Amblessed Odukwo, who was with him in his vehicle, had refused to come out from the vehicle, which prompted the officer to prevail on her to come out for investigation but she refused.
To the surprise of the Police officers present at the station, she gave DSP Adeyemi hot dirty slaps, the officer got injured in the process and was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
Following her conduct, the DPO, CSP Folunsho, ordered for the lady’s arrest. After her arrest and interrogation, she was subsequently charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for assault on the officer.
She pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the defendant pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O A. Okubule, granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
She was remanded in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town pending when she will perfect her bail conditions and for the report of the DPP to ready, which will determine the jurisdiction of the matter.
The matter was further adjourned till 15th December 2021 for mention.
