How Police Finally Arrested Most Wanted Traffic Robber In Lagos

For the past six months, Police operatives from the Lagos State Command have been on the trail of the most wanted traffic robber, Olawale Odunsi, who operated around Ijora Badia area of the state without success.
P.M.EXPRESS however, reports that the 18-year old suspect, Udunsi, was eventually arrested following credible intelligence, which made the Police to heave sigh of relief after many months.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed his arrest and explained that the Police have been on his trail for the last six months.
Hundeyin explained that the operatives from the Ijora Badia Division have embarked on actionable intelligence gathering about the activities of the suspected 18-year-old before his arrest.
He said that the suspect had allegedly been involved in many traffic robberies at Iganmu and Ijora under Bridge areas and environs.
“Many victims of the suspect described him as a deadly attacker with his dreadlocks. He evaded arrest several times in the past. Fortunately, on Tuesday, at about 3.30 p.m., acting on an intelligence gathered that the suspect and his terror gang members were about to operate at Iganmu under bridge. Operatives from Ijora Badia Division were quickly mobilised to the scene and the suspect was arrested while coming out from his criminal hideout. His gang members escaped from the scene. The suspect was taken to the station, where he confessed to the crime. Investigation is ongoing, ” Hundeyin stated.
He also stated that the suspect will be charged before the Court for the alleged offence under the Criminal Laws of the State but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police while efforts were being made to arrest other members of his gang now at large.
