Police operatives from Ejigbo Division in Lagos led by CSP Olabisi Okuwobi, have tracked the deadly armed robbers, who forced a man to watch them having sex with his daughter during operation.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Governor’s Road, Ikotun area of Lagos while the Police at Ejigbo got intelligence of the dastardly act and then tracked the two suspects through the phones they stole from the victims while three other suspects were still at large.
The two suspects arrested were brothers of the same parents namely Kelechi Okonne and his brother, Ibe Okonne. They were tracked and arrested at Alaba Rago Market in Ojo Local Government area of Lagos. Some of the items stolen during the operation including phones were recovered as exhibits.
The suspects had already confessed committing the alleged crimes of armed robbery and rape during the operation and were transferred to the FSARS in Ikeja, Lagos, for further investigation.
Police sources at FSARS confirmed that the suspects have already confessed and narrated how they invaded the house at night and committed the alleged offence.
The suspects said that they climbed the house fence and broke into the apartment with arms and threats as they overpowered the occupants of the apartment. The owner of the house, who is the father of the lady they raped, was tied with a rope on his legs and hands before they forced his daughter to remove her clothes and penetrated her in turns forcing the father to watch the action helplessly.
Having satisfied themselves, they stole items and other valuables found inside the house including phones and escaped.
However, it was the phones they stole that eventually landed them in trouble because the Police tracked the phones and apprehended the suspects.
When P.M.EXPRESS reporter visited Ejigbo Police Division to speak with the DPO, Okuwobi, over the matter, she was said to have gone out on routine check in the area.
However, a Police source said that the suspects have been transferred to FSARS from where they will be prosecuted after the conclusion of the investigations.
The suspects risk life imprisonment if they are charged before the Court for the alleged offence, tried and found guilty.
