I Am In Good Shape Ready For Tokyo Olympics, Says Edem Offiong

Edem Offiong, one of Nigeria’s table tennis players going to the Summer Olympics, has declared her readiness for the tournament, which begins later this month in Japan.

Offiong told NOC Media that she is in good shape ready for her fourth outing at the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Edem Offiong won’t be going to her first Olympics as she has been in the games past three editions. The 35-year-old Cross State-born table tennis player picked her fourth Olympic ticket at the African Games in Morrocco. She represented Team Nigeria at the 2004 and 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics, and She has shown her class in Nigeria and on the continent.

She said: “I’m preparing very well; I think I’m in a good shape. I was at the training center in Spain for over 2 months and back in Nigeria to continue my training and also to join Team Nigeria to Kisarazu camp in Tokyo to concentrate on my training”.
