Igbo Community In Lagos Confers Chieftaincy Title On Chief Solomon Chukwu

The Igbo Community in Lagos State under the leadership of the Eze Ndigbo, Eze Christian Nwachukwu, has conferred a chieftaincy title on one of the illustrious sons, High Chief Solomon Chukwu.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the colourful event attracted many Igbo sons and daughters including some traditional rulers from various Local Government areas in the state, who converged at the Igbo Community Centre and palace of Eze Nwachukwu in Okota, Lagos.
While conferring on him the title called Ehi Wara Uzo, meaning the man who cleared the road for Igbo in Lagos State, Eze Nwachukwu said he was given the title because of his outstanding brilliance and contributions to the support of Igbo people in Lagos State.

Nwachukwu noted his outstanding contributions and urged him to continue to do more for the welfare of Igbo people in the state.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Chukwu thanked the Igbo community and Eze Nwachukwu for honouring him with the title and stated that the honour was a motivation for him to do more for the welfare of Ndigbo in Lagos State.
Chief Chukwu, who is also the Igbo Coordinator for the Honorable Speaker, Obasa Movement, used the occasion to advice the Igbo in Lagos to go out and register as members of the governing APC because it is the party in power in both Lagos State and at the Federal level.
He noted that it is when one registers with the ruling party, that will make such person to be in partnership with the Government and its policies.
He promised to continue to be a bridge between the Igbo and other tribes especially the Yoruba in the State while thanking the Honourable Speaker for his support for the Igbo in the State. He promised that the Igbo will continue to give him more support and identify with him.

Chief Chukwu also thanked the Lagos State Government and the party leaders in the State while assuring them that the Igbo will always identify with them and APC and give support to the Government in implementing its policies in the State.
