Igbo Speaking Community Ends Factions, Pays Courtesy Visit To AIG Ayodeji At FCID Alagbon

The efforts of the Igbo Speaking Community, Lagos State to end factions have yielded results following the recent courtesy visit led by their president, Chief Sunday Udeh, on Friday, 27th September, 2024 to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, FCID, Alagbado, AIG Ogundele J. Ayodeji. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the familization visit was attended by the unified Executives of Igbo Speaking Community led by Chief Udeh and former Chief Sunday Eze’s deputy, Chief Charles Chukwu, and some key stakeholders including some Igbo traditional leaders a.k.a Ezendigbo in Lagos State.

 

The visit was to welcome and congratulate the Police boss, AIG Ayodeji, on his elevation to the new position and have better understanding by building good relationship with the Nigerian Police.

 

Those in the entourage led by the amiable President and Onwa Ndigbo, Chief Udeh included the two factional Executives of Igbo Speaking community that has merged as one under Chief Udeh as president, Eze Umuokorobia, legal adviser, Barr. Izuchukwu Ofomata, Eze Ifeanyi Ayogu, Ezendigbo in Kofose LG, Eze Stephen Agabiga, Ezendigbo in Bariga and some stakeholders across the LCDA in the State.

The community presented a portrait and kolanut to AIG Ayodeji in line with the Igbo culture and tradition for such high profile visit and they were well received by the Police boss.

 

Speaking on the visit, Chief Udeh explained that the entire Igbo Speaking community agreed to visit AIG Ayodeji and there was no more factions in the organization as the two factions have merged and he is the president while Chief Chukwu is the Deputy.

 

He also explained that they have agreed to move Igbo Speaking community forward and they were waiting for the election that will be conducted by the BOT any moment from now.

 

In response, AIG Ayodej expressed his happiness for the visit and told them that he had worked in Nnewi town in Anambra State for 19 years, Abia State and indeed across Igbo land in various capacities over the years and understands the Igbo culture and tradition.

 

Chief Sunday Udeh will be remembered for his efforts to build one united Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos State following his unrelenting efforts to bring all the groups under one umbrella.

 

His efforts is now yielding results as the factions of the Executives and General Assembly have come together for their meetings as witnessed in Orile Iganmu and other areas in Lagos State recently.
