How IGP Team Killed Mighty, The Crime Kingpin, Whose Gang Killed 6 Security Operatives

One of the leaders of the notorious kidnapping gang believed to have killed four police and two soldiers in Ikorodu area of Lagos has been shot dead during a gun battle with the police on Tuesday.

The late Endurance Ominisan aka Mighty, died after he sustained gunshot wounds after police stormed his girl friend house where he has been hiding in Ibeshe area of Ikorodu, Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that after several days of Intensive Follow up by the Intelligence Response Team deployed to Lagos State by the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris to trace and bring to justice some notorious militants/kidnappers responsible for the gruesome murder of several policemen and soldiers in Ikorodu, Lagos, the effort paid off as the one of the leaders was shot and arrested while hiding in a roof of his lover’s house in Ibeshe.

 

Mighty, a native of Arogbo in Ondo  State, allegedly came out from the creek to visit his girlfriend in the apartment he rented for her at 20, Joel Adebolu Street, Ibeshe, Ikorodu.

The IRT team, who have been on his trail, immediately swooped and surrounded the house.

It was gathered that on sighting the Special IRT team, the suspect escaped to the roof of the house from where he fired several shots with his Pistol at the IRT teams who swiftly returned fire and fatally wounded him.

The injured kidnapper was eventually brought down from the roof of the house and rushed him to the General Hospital, Ikorodu where he later died.

The police said before he passed on, Mighty mentioned some of his accomplices including One America, Stone, Vika who participated in the killing of those policemen and soldiers.

According to the police, he also confessed that his gang was responsible for the kidnapping of Oniba of Iba, the Turkish School Girls and many other kidnapping cases in Lagos and Ogun.

The police said they recovered from him one Turkish-made Fatih 13 Pistol With S/no 12TF00126 with four expended and five live ammunition.

Efforts are being intensified to arrest the remaining gang members in hiding.
