The traditional ruler of Umumbo Community Ayamelum LGA, Anambra State, HRH Igwe Simeon Ikechukwu Chidubem, and good people of Umumbo Community, has congratulated the Governor-elect of Anambra State, His Excellency, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo and his Deputy, Dr Onyeka Ibezim, as they are set to assume the mantle of leadership of the State praying that their administration and tenure in office will surely usher Anambra State into its greatness.
The community, in a statement signed by its President General, Chief Hon Simon Ikechukwu Okoye, stated that the election of the duo as the new helmsmen of the state was a positive development and a big relief to the communities and citizens in the state who have in the last eight years enjoyed good governance and huge infrastructural development under APGA government led by His Excellency, Chief Sir Willie Obiano.
Specifically, the traditional ruler, Igwe Chidubem, commended Prof Soludo on his victory despite huge opposition but reminded him not to forget his electoral promises which center on transparency, development, inclusiveness and good governance stating that all of these are much desired to fast-pace growth and development of the entire state.
Igwe Umumbo also appreciated INEC, security agencies, media, local and international observers for a peaceful election. He enjoined ndi Anambra to rally round Prof Soludo in solidarity, and pray for his successful reign.
