Ihedioha Went To Ghana To Eat New Yam With Eze Igbo Na Ghana, Not Mbaise New Yam As He Lied On National Television

On a more serious note, it’s getting more and more difficult to determine what went wrong with the Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha that many of us we thought we knew.

Can unbridled and unguarded ambition afflict a man so negatively? Can uncontrolled aspiration so drive a man out of his elements?

For quite a long time, Ihedioha’s sobriquets of “omenkeahuruanya” and “my word is my bond” endeared him to many people in his Mbaise nation and in Imo State.

But with his current penchant for spewing falsehood, propaganda and blackmail, with careless abandon, courtesy of his strange display of frustration and desperation in politics, it’s getting too difficult for Imo people to still be hailing Ihedioha “omenkeahuruanya” and “my word is my bond”!

Take for instance, in his much publicized interview on Channels Television’s “Sunrise Daily” morning programme , on Friday, September 30, 2022, Ihedioha threw caution out of studio set, and told what research findings have proved to be a very big lie.

The one time Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, when asked what his mission to Ghana was, answered that he went to the gold-rich country to honour an invitation of his Mbaise people. It was a lie!

But it was discovered with facts and figures by simple research that Ihedioha actually went to Ghana to eat new yam at the new yam festival organized by Igbo people resident in Ghana.

The new yam festival which has become a national programme in the country was at the auspices of His Royal Majesty, Eze Chukwudi Ihenetu, the Eze Igbo 1 na Ghana, who happens to be an illustrious son of Amaigbo ancient Kingdom in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria.

It’s still research work in progress why Ihedioha denied his royal host in Ghana even a mere mention in his television interview, of the truth and fact that he went to eat new yam with him in the popular West African country.

Rather, as usual, Ihedioha chose to display the arrogant clannish sore spot on his resume and ceevee by advancing and promoting the name and cause of his Mbaise nation.

Now that Ihedioha’s nature as a person that’s too economical with the truth has been unwittingly unearthed, unveiled and established, should he still rightly be hailed “omenkeahuruanya” and “my word is my bond”?

Those at the center stage as cynosures of all eyes shouldn’t be throwing dust and shouldn’t be rolling on dust! So goes an Igbo adage!

The rapid self-degeneration, self-downgrading and self-denigration by Ihedioha is obviously worrisome, because at the rate he’s driving his political vehicle into the woods, he looks good to end up shamefully and disgracefully.

It’s no longer convincing that Ihedioha isn’t _”Eze onye agwalam”_ as his aides and agents are wont to argue. He’s an Eze onye agwalam! Simple and short!

His peculiar ways and manners of relaxing with people and handling issues have established that he doesn’t have advisers, special or itinerary.

That accounts for his current rapid loss of taste in words and deeds in the sensibilities of Imo people, who daily hear him say something in the morning only to deny same in the evening.

Somebody should advise Ihedioha that it’s not good to withhold “thank you” and it’s accompanying “very much”! That’s the simplest expression of gratitude!

Eze Igbo na Ghana, HRM, Eze Chukwudi Ihenetu, deserves Ihedioha’s thank you, even if his pride and arrogance won’t enable him to add the “very much” that the royal father deserves.

Ironically, it was on the occasion of the kind good gesture Eze Ihenetu that Ihedioha messed up with his “saboteur” careless talk, which has smeared him indelibly like the faeces of a chameleon!

According to the Bible, people should learn to repay good done them with good. Paying good with evil is a gross act of ingratitude, which those that the gods cracked their kernels should distance themselves from.

Anyhow, quod erat demonstradum! The purpose of this short essay has been established. And that’s that Ihedioha has become a caveat emptor lie peddler! Stay tuned for more!
