Ikeja Council Boss, Dr. Balogun Seeks Speedy Budget Approval By Legislative Council

The Executive Council Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Dr. (Engr.) Mojeed Alabi Balogun, has presented the Year 2021 proposed Budget to the Legislative Council of the Local Government. 

The Budget tagged; ”Budget of Rekindled Hope” is expected to restore hope and succour to the people of Ikeja after passing through the ills of COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

According to the Council Chairman, the Budget is expected to deliver healthy Sustainable Development Goals socially, economically, and politically for the people of Ikeja. 

The Council Chairman also urged the Leader of the House, and his Honourable colleagues to speed up their own part of the Budget process so as to ensure that the citizens continue to enjoy dividends of democracy. 

”The Ikeja All Progressives Congress (APC) will continue to ensure the party’s mandate is delivered through my administration” – Dr Mojeed Alabi Balogun posited.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Leader of the House, Hon. Adebowale Adetoro, appreciated the presence of all Budget stakeholders.
”The Year 2021 Budget is aimed at rekindling the hope of Ikeja people after experiencing a turbulent Year 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. I also use this medium to seek the cooperation of stakeholders in ensuring Ikeja Local Government boosts her Revenue generation, and also achieve better performance of the Year 2021 Budget” Hon. Adetoro Adebowale asserted.

The Budget presentation was attended by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Musbau Yomi Mayungbe, Council Manager, Mrs. Mosunmola Otaiku-Okoka, Secretary to the LG, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda, Head of Accounts, Otunba Muyiwa Onakoya. Also, notable members of the Management team and Executive Cabinet members were also in attendance.
